Motion library / Guide

Editing the motion library

Open the website

Double-click Open Motion Library.command in this folder. It starts a server on your Mac and opens the gallery at http://localhost:8864/watch.html. Leave its Terminal window open while editing or exporting. To watch without editing, you can also open watch.html directly.

The four things you can change

Click Save & preview after changes. Scrub the preview or press Replay to inspect it. Saving updates the HTML; it does not rewrite an MP4 yet.

Export changed videos

Click Export updated videos. This saves your settings, renders changed clips frame by frame, then rebuilds all three catalogue versions. Unchanged clips are cached. Keep the local server running until the status says Export complete. You can also double-click Export Videos.command.

The outputs are:

Every exported video is 1920 × 1080 at 60 fps. Scene length, order and animation stay fixed. This delivery preserves Kimi's landscape layouts; it does not stretch them into a vertical canvas.

What stays locked

There are no controls for layout, object position, scale, line spacing, scene order, duration, transitions, easing, motion paths or sound. The build checks scene geometry against the preserved templates and checks the original animation file's hash. A changed template or animation file stops the build. Use the editor rather than editing HTML or JavaScript.

The large traced display numerals and text already baked into software screenshots are artwork, not live font text. Font and copy controls affect live text nodes. Replace an entire software image to change its baked text. Display numeral outlines remain fixed in this edition.

Files and recovery

Your previous workspace project remains untouched. This Desktop folder is a separate working copy.

If opening or exporting fails

This Mac already has the needed runtime. On another Mac, install Python 3 with numpy and Pillow, Node.js 22 or newer, and FFmpeg. The export uses the pinned HyperFrames CLI 0.8.217. It uses the existing local installation when available, otherwise npx fetches that pinned version. No generation API or API key is needed.

The browser editor runs locally; a static web host can show the gallery, but cannot render new videos or write local files. Run the local launcher for editing. Inspect reviews/export-progress.log if an export fails.

Before publishing new copy, replace reference-study names and results with your own approved facts. Watch the final export and listen on your target device. Keep music and sound-source files internal; publish rendered videos rather than standalone library audio.

Publish updates with Wrangler

After exporting, run python3 scripts/build-public.py, then wrangler pages deploy dist --project-name 783104926550381274 --branch main. The public gallery is at https://783104926550381274.pages.dev. Publishing contains videos, posters and the guide. File editing and frame-by-frame rendering remain in the local Desktop copy. Source audio, uploads, settings history and template files are excluded from the public package.
